‘Walking Football’ totake place in oldGlenaden factory

The first event is on Thursday (October 16) and runs from 11am to 1pm and the cost is £1 per day, which covers a cup of tea and biscuit.

YMCA General Secretary Willie Lamrock said: “This form of activity is becoming very popular all over Europe and we are pleased to be working with Glenaden Arena, with the help of this funding, to offer this to the senior citizens (over 50s) of the City. We hope there are many, who still have that touch and want to play the game.”

The YMCA is also hopeful that ladies also try the offer or at least come along to support occasion.
