“Derry Well Women is a fabulous charity, one that helps and engages with many women to improve the health and well being of women, families and communities in the North West.

“I, personally, used their services some years ago when I had cancer and I really couldn’t recommend their support groups, counselling services and advice centre highly enough.

“They are just remarkable in all that they do.

“I’m very pleased that I’m now fit and well and have this opportunity to be able to give back in this very small way and in doing so perhaps help others who now find themselves in a similar situation.”

RiverRidge Recycling is one of the leading waste management companies in the North West who provide a full range of waste management services.

“Although some 2,500 women access our services each year, we have nearly 100 accessing different support groups and services in relation to cancer.

“We’ve actively campaigned for community cancer services and we are here to listen and help those regardless of what stage people are at in their cancer diagnosis.

“Donations and fundraising are vital to our core services so as you can imagine we are delighted that Ann and Foyle Ladies Golf Club has chosen Derry Well Women as their charity for this sporting event.”

Ann concluded; “We are delighted with the numbers booked to date although we still have a few spaces left. A four ball for visitors costs £60 and after the game we’ve a gala dinner organised at the club at a cost of £25 per person and there are great prizes up to the value of £1000.

“There’s also a new Ford Fiesta to be won in a ‘hole in one’, which is being kindly provided by Browne and Day Motors in Claudy. I’d encourage anyone male or female to come along and enjoy a great day out for a great cause. For bookings please contact Ann on 02871 352 222. ”
