A Mid Ulster born designer is putting his own spin on the iconic Diet Coke bottle inspired by the knitwear from his 2015 autumn/winter collection.
Jonathan Anderson’s collaboration with Coca-Cola is all part of the soft drinks brand’s ‘Regret Nothing’ campaign, which aims to “inspire and empower people to embrace their impulsive side.”
From The Loup, outside Moneymore, Jonathan first emerged onto the fashion scene back in 2008.
His label JW Anderson is internationally recognised, attracting celebrities such as Rita Ora and Alexa Chung.
Coca-Cola is not the first global brand to call on his creative talent. Three years ago, he launched an exclusive collection for the high-street chain, Top-shop.
He said: The Diet Coke bottle is an icon and I’m going to put my spin on it. What I like and what inspires me is the idea of using photography.
“I will be taking inspiration from my collection, make it something that you want to touch. It’s the perfect form and I will use one or two iconic pieces from the collection.
“There are not many chances in life that you get to project onto such an icon, it’s kind of like a dream come true for me.”
