NI WATER is currently engaged in an ongoing process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure in the greater Dungannon area.

As part of this process, we wish to advise customers that work is due to commence on the installation of a new water main on Carland Road on Tuesday 23rd July 2013 and is expected to last for approximately three weeks.

The new main will be laid in the Dungannon bound carriageway between the junction with the roundabout to approximately the end of the South Tyrone Hospital site. In order to ensure the safety of the travelling public and our contractors, it will be necessary to put in place a one-way traffic system for the duration of the works as agreed with DRD Roads Service.

Traffic wishing to travel towards Cookstown will continue as normal. However traffic wishing to travel towards Dungannon will be diverted via Tullycullion Road, Mullaghmore Road and Quarry Lane.

Please be aware that this will mean that all vehicle owners on Carland Road will be required to turn towards Cookstown when exiting from their property. Signs will be in place to advise drivers exiting from side roads of the restrictions.

NI Water and our contractor Farrans Utilities would like to thank the public in advance for their cooperation while we complete this essential improvement work and would like to assure you that we will do everything that we can to minimise disruption and complete the work as quickly as possible. Diversions will be clearly signposted and customer queries should be directed to Waterline: 08457 440088, quoting “Farrans Utilities Water Mains Rehabilitation Project, Carland Road”.
