THE Winter Craft Fair returns to the Burnavon Arts and Cultural Centre in Cookstown next weekend with a bigger and better array of quality handcrafted goods.
The fair is on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November with plenty of unique handmade gifts and treats available perfect for getting Christmas gifts sorted. The organisers are delighted to welcome back local artists Denis and Rosemary Ferguson, Marie Woods and Andrea Hayes as well as Carrie Gault, of Cherry Blossom Tattoo, who made her debut appearance at the fair in 2010 with her unique photographic prints.
For jewellery lovers you will be spoilt for choice with Uccelli, Marion Thompson, Erincraft, Alainn, Reskatirriff, Cornucopia4U, Innova and Lynn Bateman Designs.
For beautiful ceramics LyndaB and Diane McCormick are always worth a visit, or if you prefer something a little bit more fun check out Parkgate Crafts or newcomer Mount Ida Pottery.
Pink Unicorn and Pompom again showcase their gorgeous knitted accessories, bags and kidswear, joined this time round by Jacinta Green who specialises in crochet and hand knitting. First timer Gillian Fisher creator of Made Pretty will bring a selection of handmade bags while Pretty Pieces presents a unique range of vintage accessories at very affordable prices, if you want that little extra something to set off a special outfit or a festive party dress.
Add to that a selection of greetings cards and gifts, gorgeous hand made bears, glassware from Tiffany Design and Matt Pothecary, decorative floral arrangements from Caroline Ambertini as well as a great array of fine foods and home baked products. Just visit the gallery space upstairs in the Burnavon to be tempted by the delicious ranges of jams, chutneys, salad drizzles, seasonal cordials, Christmas puddings, breads and bakes.
As in previous years you can also look forward to great musical entertainment while you shop. Don’t miss Cookstown Youth Choir and the Traditional Music in Schools group on Saturday 19th and a very special performance from Sperrin Choir on Sunday 20th.
There is free parking nearby and Cuppatino’s will be on site throughout opening hours of the fair with a range of delicious refreshments. Put the dates in you diary now and watch out for your 20 per cent early bird discount voucher in your Something Special this Christmas booklet due in your post very soon.
