Woman fined

A MOTHER of two from Portrush has been fined for driving offences.

Sharon Crossan (35) of Hopefield Grange, was stopped by police operating a checkpoint at the Ring Road in Coleraine on October 21 last year.

Crossan was unable to produce her licence or an insurance policy for the vehicle she was driving.

She elected to produce the documents at a later stage, but police checks revealed that she did not do so.

A defence solicitor told the court that Crossan had lost her licence and applied for a duplicate.

Deputy District Judge Boyle fined Crossan 200.
