All reasonable people will have sincere and heartfelt sympathy for those families affected by the Howell/Stewart murders, and their aftermath.
But one must question the wisdom of Howell’s daughter Ms Lauren Bradford in publicly raising her concerns about the TV series at this stage.
Surely it would have been better to have waited until after the series. To write an open piece in the Guardian expressing her disquiet after the first episode and having the matter raised in the House of Commons after the second one only serves to give the whole sordid case the oxygen of added publicity.
The producers of the series must be delighted at her intervention.
