Police in Magherafelt have issued an appeal for witnesses following a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour in the Station Road area of the town.
Constable Mark McGarry said, “We are investigating a number of reports of anti-social behaviour. It was reported that on at least three occasions youths were reportedly seen throwing eggs at a property in the area. Police are keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything or who can help police with their enquiries.
“Police are also keen to hear from anyone who noticed dark coloured vehicles in the area on the evening of July 29th and the early hours of June 24th and July 26th.
“I would encourage members of the public to report incidents of anti-social behaviour to us in a bid to help prevent and detect any crime. Anyone with any information about these incidents is asked to contact Police on the 101 number.
“We understand the affect that anti-social behaviour can have on the everyday lives of residents in the local community. You might think that it is just fooling around but it can result in distress for the victim or a criminal record for the perpetrator which can affect your travel, education and employment opportunities in the future.”
