Loved-up couples in lockdown can expect a nappy new year!

Love in lockdown will lead to the patter of tiny feet early next year.

Seven per cent of couples are now expectant parents, having been cooped up in isolation.

Quarantine has led one in ten couples to consider a new addition to their home.

Those most likely to plan for a baby live in London (18%) and the North-East (18%),  according to a survey.

With this in mind, personal finance experts at www.money.co.uk, who commissioned the study,  have devised a parental calculator.

Salman said: “Simply answer a few questions about your personal financial circumstances and our calculator will show you how much maternity and paternity leave you can afford to take off."
