Best of the rest

There are also a few niche events punters can bet on relating to the 90th Academy Awards.

Following last year's infamous misannouncement for Best Picture, in which La Land was wrongly named as the Best Picture winner, Paddy Power have offered odds of 14/1 for any presenter to announce the wrong winner.

Bwin have rather morbidly set odds for the last person to appear on the In Memorian sequence, with former James Bond actor Roger Moore favourite to close out the tribute at 3/2. Moore leads Harry Dean Stanton and Fats Domino who are rated at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively.

Bwin have also offered odds of 9/1 for the winner of the best actor to drop his award on stage. If Gary Oldman does pick up the Best Actor award can bookmakers count on him to have steady hands?
