Vinny Esler and Enda Kennedy have both reached the semi-finals of the respective divisions in the Irish under-22 intermediate championships, at the National Stadium in Dublin.

Esler was in impressive form, winning his first contest by a knockout, before booking his place in the last four with a points win.

Kennedy also won two bouts to set up a meeting with another northern-based opponent, from Belfast’s Immaculata club.

But there was disappointment for All Saints’ Ulster intermediate champion Joel Scullion, who was disappointed not to get the decision in his contest.

All three of the All Saints boxers - along with Ulster champion Steven Donnelly - are preparing for their assault on the Ulster Senior championships, which will have a significant bearing on selection for the Northern Ireland squad for next year’s Commonwealth Games.

Further down the line, the club has confirmed another trip to Boston in April of next year.

This follows from the success of a similar trip across the Atlantic earlier this year.

A number of fund-raising events have been planned, with a new date for a scheduled Ballymena’s Got Talent night due to be announced shortly.

The club is also holding a casino night in the Leighinmohr House Hotel on November 30. Further details are available from any club official.
