Boxers serve up a real treat for fans
The first four bouts were exhibitions, three of which saw nine-year-olds Curtis Irwin, LeonBoyd and Taylor McBride demonstating great boxing skill.
The final exhibition was from girl boxer Deanna Parke against Carrickmore’s Emma Killoran. Both girls displayed quality boxing ability.

Hide AdThere were nine bouts contested for decision with stand out performances from Coleraine boxers Colin Dickey, who defeated Connor McCann from Carrickmore.
Another belting contest saw Coleraine’s Ross Henderson against Alex Porter of The Loup. Ross giving alot away in height and reach made his opponent miss and countered with blistering combinations.
At the end of the three rounds Ross had his hand raised in a well deserved victory. Another intriguing contest saw Coleraine’s Ryan Pollock against Josie Small of Skerries Portrush. This contest had the large crowd entertained from the first bell as both boxers traded blows. Clever use of the jab and powerful overhand rights meant that Pollock won on a unamamous decision.
