Coach A on cue to stretch unbeaten run

COACH A soared to the top of the Lisburn League with an impressive 4-0 win over the Grinders this week in the Taylors Ice Cream Sponsors Lisburn & District Snooker League.

The win saw Coach A stretch their unbeaten league run to eight matches with the last three all being 4-0 whitewashes to Jim McGory’s men.

Their nearest rival’s in the league at present are the Coach Legends who defeated third place, and currently out of form at present, the Glenside, who were narrowly beaten 3-1 by the Legends. This leaves the Legends just 1 point behind league leaders Coach A and sends the Glenside further down the table.

Last year’s champions Coach Highwaymen were held to a 2-2 draw against the Coach Terminaters this week and effectively ended their hopes of defending their league crown as they sit sixth in the league and a massive 12 points behind the leaders. The Coach Outlaws had a tough match against Lisburn side Colours Ballymacash A but produced an excellent display of grit and determination on their way to a 3-1 win over Colours A.

There were two postponed games this week which were The Knights v Coach QS and Colours Ballymacash B v The Legion Hotshots and will be played in the next coming weeks.

Paul Sweeney and Jim McGory have reached the final of the doubles after beating their fellow team mates Jason Crozier and Steven Magennis in the semi finals. The other semi final is between Darren Morgan and Chriss Ferguson who will play the two Brothers from Lisburn Darren and Ryan McComb in their quest to reach the final.
