Disappointment for Ballymoney 1st XV at Newtownards

On Saturday Ballymoney 1stxl played Ards in their first match of the Ulster Shield and it turn into a game of two completely different halves.

In thee first half Money were by far the superior side and they allowed the ball to pass freely around the pitch and from their second penalty penalty corner Angie Huey was on hand to flip.

In the second half Money again took the control until deep into the second half of the game and it was much againt the run that Ards were awarded a short the corner which they duely converted and less than two minuter later they doubled their score with a sweep in at the far post. Moneys heads at this stage was down and Ards saw their chance to claim a third. A disappointing start to the season but one which can be turned around this wednesday against R’town at home at 8pm.
