"Young Connor was superb on the night. He was a constant threat to Larne and made a big contribution to the win."

The Colts started the game strongly and Karl Steele put them in front with only 15 minutes on the clock.

Ben Crawford made it 2-0 just two minutes later with a well taken goal. Crawford and Lee Lindsay were dominating the midfield and they made their dominance count as Josh Rohdich and Gordon Douglas aded further goals to put the Bannsiders well in control at the break. The back four of Campbell, Steele, Milliken and Bradley didn't have too much to do but what they had to do they did well snuffing out any Larne attack.

It took a while for the second half to get going but it sprung in to life on the hour mark as both Rohdich and Douglas scored again.

Just before the end Scott Hamilton scored the goal of the game. Connor McNamee beat two men on the right before whipping a great ball in to the box for Hamilton to power home a header.

"We asked for a reaction after the Crues game and we got it," said coach Damien McNamee.

"They showed that they have a lot of character despite being such a young team. We never doubted their ability but we knew that they just needed to work a bit harder especially against the better teams."

Coleraine entertain Portadown III's this Saturday.
