Brown back in frame and good news on Foley op

Left-back Marc Brown is again available for Glenavon while winger Adam Foley has undergone a successful knee operation.

Both players had been sidelined since pre-season but Brown (ankle) is now back in full training alongside Grant Gardiner, as Foley (knee) is one step further on his road to recovery.

“It’s now up to Marc and Grant to force their way back into the team,” said boss Gary Hamilton.

“Brendan Shannon’s not too far away either, although he has to see a specialist again. He’s been doing a bit of training lately.

“James Singleton is waiting to see a specialist again too before we can see when he’s likely to be back in.

“It’s great news Adam Foley has had his operation and everything’s gone well. We all wish him well with his recovery and hopefully he comes back as strong as he was before the injury.

“He was shaping up to be a really big player for us this season. It was disappointing not to see him playing competitively but hopefully we can get him right for next season or even see him for a couple of games at the end of this season if he makes a really quick recovery.”
