Cookstown Olympic

COOKSTOWN Olympic held their tenth annual golf challenge on Friday 25th May at Killymoon Golf Club in Cookstown and the Club was delighted with the turnout of golfers and the chance to bring Cookstown Olympic to a wider audience. The Secretary in his speech thanked all the staff at Killymoon Golf Club and all the golfers who took part in the day. He also thanked the following sponsors for their contributions:

From a good turnout of teams the prizes were awarded as follows; 1st Team, 4-ball and B & B at Headfort Golf Club, 101 points, K Rogers, D Hampsey, S Conway and K Thom. 2nd Team, 4-ball and golf buggies at Farnham Estate, 98 points better 2nd Nine, M Kee, C Cahoon, R Cahoon and J Ferguson. 3rd prize, 4-ball at Concra Wood, 98 points, M McElhatton, D McElhatton, K Rollins and C Forrest. 4th Prize, 4-ball at Aughnacloy Golf Club, 96 points, R Hutchinson, R Montgomery, P Martin and N Stewart. Longest drive at 12th M Meenan. Nearest at 16th J Young. Nearest at 18th P Lennon.

The Committee of Cookstown Olympic would like to thank everyone at Killymoon Golf Club, including the greens staff, caterers and office staff, all the golfers who took part, and finally the sponsors who came forward to sponsor the tee boxes on the day.
