Duo sign new deals

DERRY City youngsters Barry McNamee and Ryan Curran have signed a new two deal with the Brandywell men.

City boss Declan Devine also confirmed that the club are talking with teenager Michael Duffy, who played for Northern Ireland U19 in their narrow 1-0 defeat to Greece, in the European Qualifying competition, on Friday night, and a number of other young players at the club.

“We are not in a position where we want boys to sign year by year, we want to tie our best young players down and Barry McNamee certainly fits into that category,” admitted Devine.

“We’ve signed him to a two year deal, we’ve signed Ryan Curran also to a two year deal and I’m also hoping to tie Michael Duffy and a couple of the others in the squad down.”
