Killymoon game off

KILLYMOON Rangers saw their Intermediate Cup tie fall foul of the inclement weather conditions on Saturday.

The pitch at Downpatrick was too water-logged for the tie to take place and both sides will return to the Rosconnor venue on the 21st January.

This Saturday, Killymoon will host Carrick Rangers in the JJB Irish Cup at the Sports Arena in Cookstown at 3pm.

Premiership side Carrick Rangers will undoubtedly start as favourites against their Championship 2 hosts. Former NI international Michael Hughes is the current manager of Carrick Rangers.

The home side have been looking forward to this test against senior opposition and will be hoping for plenty for plenty of support at MUSA on Saturday.

Killymoon Rangers Reserves were also inactive over the weekend. Their opposition, Ballynure OB 2nds had requested a free weekend. At the moment there fixture is unknown at the time of going to press.

News on this fixture will be updated when known on the club website.
