Lafferty gutted after draw
NORTHERN Ireland defender Danny Lafferty spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin, following their disappointing 1-1 draw against Azerbaijan, in Wednesday night’s World Cup qualifier, at Windsor Park.
The Burnley left-back, who was making his first competitive start for Michael O’Neill’s side, admitted it was a case of two points dropped rather than one gained.
Lafferty, also talked about watching his former club Derry City win the FAI Cup in an Irish pub in Manchester and how disappointed he was that he couldn’t make the trip to the Aviva Stadium.
