Moyola Park travelled to Seahaven for a Championship Two League fixture, returning from the seaside with a point after a scoreless draw.
Straight from the kick-off, Moyola Park pushed forward with Hassan, Lucas and Gallagher upsetting the defence with their pace.
A good run by Gallagher whose shot was parried over the bar by the Portstewart keeper after ten minutes.
Moyola, pushing all at Portstewart, could just not break down the stubborn defence.
Portstewart’s only chance came after fifteen minutes from a corner which was just headed wide of the post. Two quick shots by Hassan were well saved by the Portstewart keeper.
A Steven Kenning shot from just after thirty minutes just went past the post by inches. A free kick for Portstewart at the edge of the box after forty minutes was well saved by Maguire in the Moyola nets.
Moyola came out the second half with same mentality pushing forward with Gallagher, Hasson and Lucas all coming close.
Portstewart gave Moyola a scare after sixty minutes when their forward chipped Maguire but came off the post to safety.
A Gareth Stewart free kick just went past the post after sixty-five minutes.
Moyola Park had a free kick in the 70th minute but it was well saved by the keeper.
Kenning also had a great shot which just went past the post and Davy Paul had a great chance to finish the game but just could not get that killer goal, running out at 0-0 at fulltime.
