Wade inspires Sky Blues U13s against title rivals

Magherafelt Sky Blues U13 knew defeat against Roe Valley would almost certainly hand the league to the visitors in this top of the table clash.

A close game was expected by all but this could not be further for the truth. The young Blues side where on the front foot from the start and took the lead when the excellent Callum Campbell found Darragh Wade who’s first time shot curled into the top corner.

Wade got his second after left back Matthew McMenemy provided the assist this time before the striker lobbed the keeper and into the net.

Wade got his hat trick with a great header to round of a fantastic individual performance and rightly claims the man of the match award.

Cathal Chamber got in on the act with other fine finish from 16 yards.

Manager Craig Jackie Campbell could not be more proud of his players today and each and every one of the 14 players involved today should be extremely proud of their performance.

Darragh Wade has at times this term taken a lot of criticism for what appears a languished style of play, but today when it really counted he was outstanding with his forceful determined play and stylish finishing.
