THE newly formed Sir Alex Ferguson Carryduff Junior Reds have invited young Manchester United fans from the Mid Ulster area to join their supporters club, which is quickly becoming one of most popular Official Manchester United Supporters Clubs in the United Kingdom.

This new, exciting and innovative venture is a fantastic opportunity for young United fanatics to join the only official Manchester United Supporters club dedicated to children for free.

Branch secretary John White stated that members from all over Northern Ireland have already taken up the opportunity to join the club.

“At the moment we have over 160 children who have signed up as members. This is the first time a club for children has been set up and we were delighted to hear that Sir Alex Ferguson was keen to get involved by letting us use his name.”

Members from Ballymena, Banbridge, Londonderry, Carrickfergus and as far away as New Zealand have signed up so far.

John added, “It is a cross community club for all the children of Northern Ireland and every child in the club will be United under the one banner! The club is directly linked to the Carryduff Supporters Club and if any of our young members wish to make their dreams come true, subject to availability of tickets, we can help them organise their trip to Old Trafford and let these young members see their heroes in action at the Theatre of Dreams.”

Councillor Trevor Wilson was full of praise of this new venture and wanted local Manchester United fans to join this wonderful supporters club.

“It is a great opportunity for children of the local area to be part of a supporters club of the most successful team in the Premier League era.”

All children who join the club will receive an Official Branch Membership card and an Official Branch Badge. Application forms are available online and from the Mid Ulster Mail offices. The potential members have to fill out their membership form and send it back to the club with a stamped addressed envelope.
