Fourteen year-old Stuart is on a roll at Islandderry

Stuart took first place in the recent junior competition at the fishery with his older brother Mathew taking second place while third place went to Declan Dunwoody, Lurgan.

Stuart returned to the fishery the next day and hooked into a whooping 11lb trout on the Hollow Springs lake on a egg fly, giving himself a new personal best record.

The next junior competition will be on Monday May 3. Both lakes will be closed on Saturday 17 April for the Teggart Memorial competition for Cystic Fibrosis. There will be a commpetition for bait fishing as well as fly fishing.
