Well done girls and their mentors, Shauneen, Kenny, Mairead and Kelly-Marie. Our underage blitz will take place on Saturday 23rd June at the club starting at 9.30am. Any player from U16 upwards, who is free on the day, give your names to Mary, Ann or Martina ASAP. Also, we would appreciate if parents could help with refreshments, sandwiches etc. Congratulations to Meghan McGillian and Orla MGuigan who won Ulster medals when they played St.Pats Maghera in the final at Glen on Thursday past. The U14s had a league match against Swatragh last Thursday night. With Rachel Mc Allister on fire and scoring three goals and Orla Mc Guigan, Meghan Mc Gillian,Niamh Kelly, Roisin Mc Cullagh and Jackie Donnelly getting their names on the scoreboard this was a very one-sided game which seen Screen dominate every area of the pitch. Screen ran out easy winners. Well done girls! The U8 and U10s took part in a tournament in Glen last Wednesday night. The U8s got as far as the final but were beaten by a goal by Glen. The U10s were beaten in the semi-final by Slaughtneil who went on to win the tournament. Some great Camogie was played from both our teams and more importantly the children enjoyed taking part. Thanks for all the parents who came down to support their children. Congratulations to Derry Camogs and especially Bronagh McGillian who won the Ulster championship beating Antrim on a magnificent scoreline of 6.13 to 0.6. Another Ulster medal winner for our club.

Well done to our young hurlers Noel Rafferty (St Marys PS) & Emmett Donnelly (St Columba’s Straw) who were selected to play at halftime in the Ulster Hurling Championship between Derry & Armagh on Sunday past. Well done lads!! Our under 16 footballers produced what was easily their best performance of the campaign against Bellaghy last week despite going down by four points. The game was a credit to both teams who produced a high scoring affair despite the rain soaked conditions at Dean McGlinchey Park.

In their next game the U16 footballers lost away to Dungiven on a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-04 in their latest league game. The scoreline was probably an unfair reflection of a game played in terrible conditions.
