Our Minors returned to League action after the exams break on Monday 4th June with a very impressive home win against Ballymaguigan. The Senior footballers drew at home to Faughenvale on Wednesday evening. Next game will be against Newbridge this weekend. The Under 14s had a good League win at Ballymaguigan last Tuesday. The boys put in an excellent performance and took a number of fine scores. The Under 8s enjoyed an exciting Blitz at home to Cargin and Moneyglass on Friday evening. The boys showed they’ve grasped many of the games skills already. Youth Football training and Gaelic for Mothers continues on Sunday mornings from 11.30am to 12.45pm.

The U 14 Camogie team lost narrowly at Banagher on Tuesday while the U16s were beaten at home by Slaughtneil. Camogie training for U6, U8, U10 and U12 continues on Saturdays from 11am to 12:15pm.

A group of students and teachers from St. Patrick’s Maghera will travel to Tanzania for 3 weeks on a charity trip in July 2012 to work with local secondary and primary schools. There will be a fundraising night in the Shepherd’s Rest on Saturday 16th June 2012. There will be an excellent buffet dinner followed by music by Big D! It is a ticket only event and tickets cost £15. Everyone welcome especially those treating their fathers for Fathers’ Day!! All proceeds in aid of Rafiki Tanzania.
