THE Rossa annual Sports day took place at Rossa Park on Sunday 17th June. There was sunshine, then wind, then rain, then sunshine again but still a very enjoyable day for all. The day kickstarted with a number of cyclists doing a sponsored cycle of South Derry arriving back at Rossa Park led by Chairman Sean Kerr.

The Rossa Og and Camogie Og sports then began and the kids took part in mini games, penalty competitions and much more. They even got a chance to “dose their coach” and see Tigger & Daisy in costume!

This was followed by exhibition games with ladies football, camogie and an U16 challenge match for the Rossa boys v Ballinderry. The last events of the day saw the tug of war competition and the Old Crocks match which saw stars of the past take to the field of play again in a very entertaining match.

The bbq was also going all day even during the spells of rain. As the day came to a close looking back it was a very entertaining day for all.

Our sincere sympathy goes to the entire family circle at this time.
