Rock play Galbally in the quarter final of the Intermediate Championship this Saturday 17th September in Coalisland at 4pm. Best of luck to the team and management and all support welcome.

The Reserves made their exit from the Championship on Monday week last away to Aghyaran going down by four points. Played in terrible conditions, credit to both teams for what was an entertaining and competitive game.

Rock dominated the early part of the game but couldn’t get the scores and an Aghyaran goal on the stroke of half-time saw them go in ahead 1-6 to 0-4. Scores were few and far between in the second half as the rain continually belted down making conditions very slippery.

Despite Rocks best efforts, Aghyaran held out for the win on a final scoreline of Aghyaran 1-7 Rock 0-6. Rock scorers: Aidan McCourt(0-2), Karl Kolbohm(0-2), Francie Bloomer(0-1), Ryan Crilly(0-1).

The U13’s defeated Aghaloo away on Friday last with a fine performance winning on a final scoreline of Aghaloo 0-6 Rock 5-15. They are due to play Gael Naomh Padraig at home on Saturday 17th September at 11am and Drumragh away on Saturday 24th September.

The Draw for the 1-2000 Fundraising Draw was made at the clubrooms on Saturday night last and the winner was Niall McQuaid (Donaghmore) who wins the first prize of £1000 with the second prize of two All-Ireland football final tickets and one night accommodation in Dublin was won by Lucia McKillion (Donaghmore). Congratulations to both and many thanks to all who supported the draw by buying tickets and also to all who sold tickets. A special word of thanks to Darren Mullan who organised and co-ordinated the Draw.

Committee meeting on Wednesday 14th September at 8pm.
