While the ladies were enjoying the scenery on the Antrim Coast, Natalie Davidson and Irene Downey took on the Aurora Bangor 10k, producing two podium places: Natalie Davidson 44.20 2nd Female V40 and Irene Downey 48.49 3rd Female V40.

The racing conditions were excellent, with a fast start through Bangor town, out to Groomsport and back into Bangor via the coast.

A great result for Natalie and Irene.

On Sunday (September 28), the Harriers branched out to compete at the Kirkistown Duathlon, with Christine Neeson working hard to earn herself a well-deserved podium place in the Formula 1 race – second Female (1.5-mile run, 6-mile cycle, 1,5-mile run, 6-mile cycle, 1.5-mile run).

Not to be left out, the four-legged members of County Antrim Harriers got their opportunity to run in Sunday’s Waggy Races 5k at Tollymore Forest Park.

This topped off a great weekend of racing for the Harriers with Louise Smart and Dexter coming 2nd overall and Naomi Lusty, her partner Lloyd and their dog Jess topping the podium in the team race.

Eileen Stewart, with Jack and Cathy Hopkins with Fred also had great runs, around a tough but thoroughly enjoyable course.
