Howeve only two survived the first corner. Davy Townley and Andrew Percy collided with Hotrod man Jonathan Nevin, sustaining rear-end damage.

Campbell Percy ended up the clear winner ahead of Colin McAleese.

In the second heat Colin McAleese slid into the wall at the Brown Trout Corner. This left Campbell Percy again taking the win ahead of Davy Townley.

The final saw Percy and Townley battle it out for the lead, Percy just having the edge to claim victory.

Heat one of the Open Hotrods saw David Gurney and Richard Stewart bumper to bumper the whole race with nothing between them.

Davy came through the winner with Stewart finishing on his bumper.

Gurney went on to win the second heat by a bigger margin from previous final winner Paul Nevin.

The final was a closely fought battle between Nevin and Gurney, going right down to the last lap.

On the pit bend corner, Gurney seized under pressure and Nevin got round the outside and came through the winner ahead of Gurney with debutant Jonathan Nevin third in his stunning Tigra.

Three new faces were on the track for the opening heat of the 1600 Bangers.

However nothing stopped Peter Henderson taking the win ahead of Lee McCloy. Heat two saw first event winner Mark McLaughlin cross the line first ahead of McCloy in second.

The final was a good battle between Henderson, McCloy and McLaughlin, with all three leading at some point in the race.

Henderson came through the clear winner from McCloy once again second and McLaughlin third.

The first race in the Junior-Stocks threw up a good race between Glen White and Curtis Greer.

White had a good lead but Greer closed in on the final laps but was unable to find a way through.

However in the next heat Greer came home the clear winner ahead of Andrew Gamble and Aaron Brunton - and that’s how the final finished also.

The opening race in the ever popular Lightning Rods saw a good battle between Jerome Doherty and Sammy Stewart. Nose to tail lap after lap, Sammy couldn’t find a way through and Jerome took the flag with Stewart finishing on his bumper.

Heat two saw on form Owen Cunning take the flag ahead of young-gun Jason Harkness and Neil Capper in third.

In the final, held under the lights, Owen Cunning lead from start to finish and took an easy win from Sammy Stewart in second and heat one winner Jerome Doherty, third.
