JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Excellent season for North West and Coleraine District Youth League

THE North West and Coleraine District Youth League completed its revamped McKendry Fabrications sponsored Invitational Cup fixtures this week.

The League was delighted that so many of the clubs were represented in at least one age group or another and wish to thank all those who participated.

It is hoped that the interest in this year's tournament has shown that the League is forward thinking in its ambitions to promote the best of youth football in the North West area.

This year's winners were. Under 10 Cup: Limavady; Under 10 Plate: Limavady B; Under 11 Cup: Coleraine Academy; Under 11 Plate: Inishowen; Under 12: Inishowen; Under 14: Templemore; Under 16: Culmore

The League is currently holding a series of meetings with sports development groups from the IFA, universities and the various Councils throughout their catchment area and hope to make some very positive announcements prior to annual general meeting.
