ON Sunday, September 26, the Lurgan ladies contested the final of the Cowdy Cup against County Armagh GC.
The venue was Dungannon GC but on the day Lurgan had to take second place.
Through the opening nine holes there was little between the two teams. However, on the back nine Lurgan could not quite sustain the challenge provided by a stronger Armagh team.
