Runher’s 2014 Coastal Challenge supported the Mary Peters Trust and Dame Mary joined the thousands of competitors by completing the 10K walk alongside Paralympic gold medallist Kelly Gallagher, Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller, recently retired PSNI Deputy Chief Constable Judith Gillespie and Sport NI chief executive Antoinette McKeown.

The atmosphere at Crawfordsburn was relaxed and happy. Once the challenge had been overcome, the ladies deserved a well-earned rest to the calming country tunes of Amanda Agnew, a BBQ and a destressing massage from Apex Clinic.

Delighted with the atmosphere and the number of entrants Runher race director Michael Jenkins from Pure Running, congratulated all those who took part and their bands of supporters:

“Once again record numbers of ladies turned out at Seapark, Holywood for Runher’s now annual Coastal event.
