Loughaghery face Soldierstown in final

There was a very competitive atmosphere at the over-55 pairs on Tuesday night and quite a good crowd in attendance.

Raymond Gourley and Philip Dennison, Loughaghery beat Jim Fleming and Teresa Cushnahan, Rock to reach finals night.

They will play Johnston Dunlop and Richard Martin, Soldierstown who beat Priesthill pair, Roy Kennedy and Sid Heasley in the other semi-final.

Colwyn shows class to win junior singles

Colwyn Elwood, Loughaghery showed his class to win the Junior Singles title at Eglantine Parish hall on Friday night.

He showed his experience to beat David Cunningham, Rock in the final.

It was a good night for Rock, even though they lost on this occasion, as the pairs final brought four of their young players together.

Frankie and Alex Cushnahan came out on top against Ann and David Cushnahan. Just rewards for the club who provided more entrants than anyone else in the whole of the Championships.
