Note: Playing gear such as socks and shorts should still be bought at O’Neill’s Sportswear Magherafelt. The O’Neills playing jersey can still be ordered through Johnny Taylor and he should have an order together for Christmas.

Ladies Football

Hard luck to the under 16 girls who lost to Limavady in the shield final on Sunday, in what was a horrible day for a game of football, Limavady just seemed to have bigger stronger girls who coped muchbetter with the dreadful conditions, Maybe on a dry day our girls would have give them a much better game as we had proved earlier in the season, but heads up girls you have had avery successfull season getting to both county and provincial feile semi finals and also winning the u14 shield final, and to the u16s taking some big scalps in the league this year. Also well done to Limavady in securing the plate on the day a wonderful achievement for the Wolfhounds.

Coaching Course’s

Anyone willing to attend forthcoming coaching courses please contact Gary McCoy asap.

Feile 2013

Feile 2013 preparations have begun. We need at least 24 host families for the visiting teams. The experience created a great buzz in 2010. We got to start thinking about it and we will need all houses confirmed before Christmas. Contact Roddy in the meantime if interested in hosting.

Games Development

Great work was done this year and we need to grow on that. We need 3 dedicated people with each group of boys. We see 3 core groups for development over the winter under 10s (p6 down to p3), under 14 and under 12s (Born 1999 to 2002) and under 18/under 16 (Born 1998 to 1995). Contact Gary McCoy if you can help with any of these groups. If you have no experience in coaching we can help get you proper training and experience. We will have a meeting for everyone interested in the clubrooms on Monday 29th October at 8pm to plan the year ahead.

Senior Football

Moneymore Seniors secured their place in Intermediate Football with a fine 2-18 to 1-9 win over Ardmore on Saturday in Dungiven with Paudie O’Neill giving an exhibition of finishing to sign off the season with 2-9 to his name. It was a great effort all round and John O’Brien, Barry O’Neill and Physio Gary McNicholl are thanked for their stern efforts and mixing a blend of youth and experience on the pitch and and giving us something to look forward to in 2013. Enjoy the rest lads.
