East Tyrones Under14 Schoolboy Harvey Barnes won the Time Trial Gold Medal at last weekends Ulster Youth Championships promoted by the Errigal Club at Gweedore Co Donegal.
Harvey followed this up with the Silver Medal in a closely contested sprint in the preceding Road Race. James Glasgow and Ellie Kelso rode really strongly in both disciplines in the Under 12 Category with Ellie finishing 2nd best Under11 girl in the Time Trial.
English visitors Mark and Cameron Jeffers dominated the final round the Burrows Engineering Road Race League held in wet conditions on the Churchtown circuit.
The teenage brothers seemed to dip under the Handicappers radar as they were evidently too strong for their respective groups. Jake Gray made a last minute dash to the race from the Airport after a very successful racing trip to Belgium but was unfortunate not to get placed as first or second would have given him the Overall League victory.
