Jeffers extends his lead

EAST Tyrone rider Gary Jeffers extended his lead in the Cooper Motorcycles Time Trial League on Thursday night by finishing first in round 4, a 10 mile TT held on the Omagh Road.

The remaining two podium spots were separated by a mere two seconds on the night with David Heagney just edging out Robert Stewart.

Jeffers carried this brilliant form over to the weekend where he was competing in his first event as an A2 category rider having recently been upgraded, and did not disappoint by finishing in a fantastic third place in the Tour of the Mournes held on Sunday.

There is a break from club racing this week with round 2 of the Burrows Engineering Road Race League taking place next Thursday evening ( 24th May)
