Lennon shoots seven birdies in Open Medal win

The season is now well under way and the course is in good condition. It should improve even further given favourable weather conditions.

Draws for the annual club matchplay competitions are displayed on the competitions notice-board. Members must observe the deadlines set for completing each round.

Players are reminded that all competition scorecards MUST be returned and entered on computer

With effect from Sunday 17 April 2011, members will be able to enter Sunday competitions, daylight permitting, prior to the professional’s shop being open. Scorecards and competition entry fee envelopes will be available in the entrance foyer. Completed envelopes, containing the appropriate entry fee, should be posted in the white post box outside the office prior to commencement of play.

On Sunday last Trevor Bownes’s Ulster Cup team had a good 6-1 home win over Strabane.

Paddy Cullen’s Ulster Fourball had a good 2.5-2.5 away draw at Whitehead.

These results put both teams in strong position for return legs.
