Mid-Ulster Swimming Club won their recent gala

Congratulations to all the swimmers at Mid-Ulster Swimming Club who beat a determined East Cavan side 591 to 530 points on Saturday 7th December.

It represents Mid-Ulster’s third victory in a row this season with only two galas remaining, having also beaten Alliance from Belfast and Strule Dolphins from Omagh earlier in the season.

East Cavan made the two and a half hour journey north, showing great commitment and determination. They fought well with many strong swimmers and tight finishes throughout the evening.

Mid-Ulster, who currently compete in Division 4 of the Provisional Towns League, are in the process of rebuilding their team following a three year redevelopment of their home pool at Magherafelt’s Greenvale Leisure Centre to 50m Olympic distance.

Mid-Ulster are now preparing to swim against Lecale (Downpatrick) in January and Olympia (Belfast) in February. Well done to all the team, merry Christmas and good luck with the remaining galas.
