Another new Mid-Antrim ‘150’ backer unveiled

As it draws ever closer, organisers of the JFM Haulage Mid Antrim 150 have announced another backer for the revamped race meeting.

Diamond Trucks NI have agreed to sponsor the Senior Classic race at the meeting, which will run on April 1-2.

Davy McCartney, new Clerk of the Course for the meeting said: “The club are very happy that Diamond Trucks have come on board with us.

“Things are starting to take shape now but we still have a lot of work to do as a club to make sure that the JFM Haulage isn’t just the first road race of the year, but the best road race of the year.”

A few of the other fundraisers that the club have run recently have also raised significant amounts of money. The sponsored abseil down the front of the Europa realised £3450, despite being a miserable day weatherwise.

Held in the Front Page in Ballymena, the Pub Quiz made the club £3450 and thanks must go to the Stephen Reynolds and Maggie Magee from the bar.

MARSHALS’ SEMINARS

The Motorcycle Union of Ireland have set the dates for the marshals’ seminars for 2016.

All on Sundays, the first is 17th January in the Chimney Corner.

The next is 24th January in the Royal Hotel in Cookstown.

For people in the top end of the country, the Travel Lodge Hotel on 31st January with the last of them in the Chimney Corner on the 14th February.

The date and venue for the marshals training day has still to be announced.
