Stephen Davison said, “We couldn’t believe how many people turned up. It is a tribute to how popular John is that people from across Northern Ireland and as far as Cork and Galway came up to meet him. John is a great ambassador for the sport and I hope that people felt the wait was worth it to get a chance to talk to him on the day.

“We chose to hold the launch here in Ballymoney as a tribute to the legendary Joey Dunlop and it was amazing to see so many committed road racing fans coming together.”

It features over 150 of Stephen Davison’s stunning photographs, the book charts every part of McGuinness’s TT career, from his first trips to the Island as a teenager when he stowed away on the ferry from Heysham on his BMX bike, to the heady days when he stood alongside his childhood hero JoeyDunlop on the podium, and his subsequent wins and lap records.
