Pond Park retain Primary Schools Netball crown

The annual Primary Schools Netball Tournament took place in Lisnagarvey High School on Friday January 30.

In total 13 teams took part in what was an exciting and fun-filled afternoon with impressive netball skills displayed by all teams.

Kacey English from Fort Hill Primary School won player of the tournament.

Kasey was very dominant on the centre of the court.

Her excellent interceptions helped her team to the semi-finals where they were beaten by Largymore.

In the second semi-final, Pond Park played Ballymacash, with Pond Park coming out on top.

This left Pond Park to play Largymore in what turned out to be an excellent final with outstanding netball skills.

Pond Park showed some excellent movement and quick-paced play throughout the final.

With impressive skills, Pond Park managed to outplay their opponents resulting in a fantastic win of 5-0.

They regained their title and took the trophy home with them for the fourth year running.
