Springwell runners take top two positions at Portrush Parkrun

Saturday saw Springwell runners grace four different parkrun locations with several PBs' including Kay Hack at Limavady, Deborah Gilliland at Ormeau, Stephen Fillis and Jim Blee at Portrush.

There were 137 runners, of whom 18 were first timers and 25 recorded new PBs. Representatives of nine different clubs took part. Springwell runners filled the first two positions with the rapid Steven McAlary in first, in 17.46 and Stephen Fillis shortly after in a fine PB of 19:14.

First lady was our own multi-talented Sonia Knox in 20.34, followed by N.I. International representative Karen Alexander of the Acorns Running Club, so quite a star studded field in the Ladies side.
