Success for Coleraine Swimmers at Ulster Youth Championships

Last weekend saw fantastic results for Coleraine Swimming Club at the Ulster Youth Championships in Lisburn.

James Richardson, in the 16-year-old age group, won gold in the 100m Freestyle in a fantastic time of 52.21 seconds, setting a new Ulster record. James also won gold in the 200m Freestyle event and came third in the 100m Backstroke, both of which were in new personal best times.

Michael Evans, in the 15-year-old age group, won gold in the 100m Backstroke. Michael also excelled in achieving five second placings with personal best times in all of his events.

There were also good performances from junior members of the club namely Charlotte Anderson, Thomas Kelly and Molly Curry, who all swam personal best times in their chosen events.
