Success for Kilrea Ladies

TRUE grit and sheer determination - that is what it takes to reach an Ulster Final and Kilrea Golf Club's Ladies Challenge Cup team are not short of either.

On Sunday 1 August the Ladies had to dig deep to overcome the strong challenge from Portstewart GC in their match at Portadown GC. With two matches each under the belts all eyes were focussed on Marie-Therese Bradley and her opponent as they made their way up the 18th. Marie-Therese with a one hole advantage held her nerve to halve the hole and win the match.

Elation for the Kilrea Ladies and no doubt huge disappointment for the Portstewart Ladies who lost by just a whisper on the day.
