Tom Wilson wins the OW Campbell Plate

THE senior golfers at Banbridge Golf Club had the opportunity last Wednesday to play for the OW Campbell Plate.

Oliver Campbell was a long time member of the club and he was a marvellous character. He no longer plays the game but all his friends at the club send him their best regards.

As for his trophy, this year’s winner is Tom Wilson and he was delighted with his round.

Over the 14 holes course, Tom, who plays off 21, had 34 points.

Jack Reid from Dromore, another 21 handicapper, was runner-up with 32 points.

Oliver, if you are reading this, your trophy is in safe hands.
