RES, with an office in Larne, received planning consent in late 2013 for Altaveedan Wind Farm near Loughgiel and also developed the nearby Gruig Wind Farm; now owned by Glennmont Partners but still operated and managed by RES.

The Camogie Club’s week-long event brings together local girls from age 6 – 16 and provides top class coaching alongside cultural awareness of the sport.

Left without a sponsor at the end of 2013, RES stepped in to ensure that the summer camp could go ahead in 2014.

The club’s Youth Committee, which assists in organising the event, consists of girls from the Under 12s – Minor Team who dedicate time and energy into ensuring that the camp is a safe and enjoyable experience for all the girls taking part.

Angela Boyle, Club Secretary, commented: “Our summer camp is of great importance to our girls.

“It is a social event that enables them to improve their game through coaching by top class coaches from all over Ireland.

“It has been a huge success in our community each summer.

“We are delighted to have RES’ support this year.

“The donation will also allow us to purchase new training equipment.”

Victoria Graham, Community Relations Manager with RES, continued: “RES is pleased to be able to support the summer training camp here in Loughgiel.

“It is great to see such camaraderie and enthusiasm for the sport.

“We would like to wish all the girls the best of luck in their competitions throughout the year”.
