Car set alight deliberately in Cookstown

Fire crews attended a car fire in the Morgan’s Hill Road area of the town on Thursday night.

One appliance from Cookstown station attended the scene and dealt with the blaze.

A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said they believe it was a ‘deliberate ignition.’

PSNI were informed and the incident was dealt with at 4.34pm.

It is believed the car was set alight with fireworks.
