ALL four of the local sides will be hoping to achieve their own goals and objectives as the season reaches its climax over the next few months. Seasons can be won or lost in one single game. Here is a review of how the local clubs have fared so far this season and how the closing stages of the season may pan out for them.

LAST weekend saw the return of the FA Cup as the fourth round of the world famous competition took place. Of course the major talking point will be the clash between Lancashire rivals Liverpool and Manchester United. The game had been over shadowed over the Suarez/Evra racism saga. I will not pretend to know the ins and outs of the situation but if he racially abused the United left back then he should receive a considerable ban. The disciplinary committee believed he had and he received a fairly hefty ban.
Moyola lose out to Armagh
MOYOLA travelled to Holm Park on Saturday to take on Armagh looking on build on last week’s good performance against Wakehurst. Moyola started the game with player manager Mervyn Pattsion and new signing Adrian Whiteside in the starting eleven as he had Kenning, Lucas, Kelly all unavailable.
