Norbert Sznapka, 43, of Lambfield Meadows, Dungannon admitted the offences relating to an incident on August 6th last.

A court was told how police were on patrol on Granville Road, when they detected the defendant driving at 45mph on a road contravened to 30mph. Police stopped the defendant and he replied ‘sorry’.

He surrendered a Polish driving licence which police discovered had been suspended and had no valid insurance.

A defence solicitor for Mr Sznapka said his client did not realise he had to resit his test after the disqualification period had ended.

The case was adjourned to April 9th for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
